41-year-old Owen Salmo of Lander is charged with two counts of conspiracy to deliver methamphetamine.
Each of those counts are punishable by up to 20 years of imprisonment and a fine of up to $25,000.
The Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI) began investigating Salmo in April 2018 for his involvement in the distribution of controlled substances in Fremont County.
DCI investigated various text messages sent by Salmo through April and June 2018. Court documents show that DCI believes the messages confirmed their suspicion of his role in selling and delivering methamphetamine, marijuana, and prescription pills.
On November 15h, 2018 the Lander Police Department conducted a search of Salmo’s residence. They found multiple baggies, pipes, jars, and a scale that is typically used in the distribution of methamphetamine.
Salmo had his preliminary hearing on March 20th and his bond was set at $70,000. Sentencing will take place at a later date.
All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
