(Lander, WY) – The Lander Police Department and the Wyoming Division of Criminal Investigation are actively investigating an incident that occurred at a bar in Lander Friday night, January 9, which resulted in the death of an adult male, according to a release issued by the LPD on Saturday, January 10.

Officers responded to a report of a disturbance at a local establishment at approximately 11:15 PM. Upon arrival, officers learned that a fight had occurred inside the establishment. Emergency medical services were requested, and one individual had succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased.
At this time, the investigation remains ongoing. Detectives are continuing to gather evidence, review surveillance footage, and interview witnesses. The identity of the deceased is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
No additional information regarding suspects, causes, or circumstances will be released at this time in order to protect the integrity of the investigation.
