(Lander, WY) – The Fremont County School District 1 Board of Trustees will hold a regular meeting at 6 p.m. Tuesday, June 17, in the Boardroom at the Administration Building at 863 Sweetwater St. in Lander.
The agenda for the meeting includes a report from the superintendent about the Wyoming School Boards Association’s climate survey options and costs.
The board will also hold an executive session for matters related to employment of personnel.
Action items on the agenda include personnel actions and spring coaching recommendations.
- The board will also consider approving:
- a salary correction
- a request for use of depreciation reserve account funds
- a reimbursement for out-of-state travel
The board will also review four policies on first reading:
- drug testing for students involved in extracurricular activities
- homeschooling
- certified salary schedules
- sex designated facilities
Another discussion item on the agenda is the consideration of becoming an Education Service Provider, per the Steamboat Legacy Act.
The board will also discuss salary and compensation targets.
Tuesday’s agenda includes a reminder that a public hearing regarding the district’s proposed intent to amend rules for employees who conceal carry firearms will take place at 6 p.m. June 24.
A special board meeting to consider taking action to amend the rules and regulations for the concealed carry of firearms will take place at 6 p.m. July 29.
The board will also hold a budget hearing at 6 p.m. July 15, followed by a regular meeting.
Tuesday’s meeting is open to the public for in-person attendance and will be streamed live on Zoom.
