(Lander, WY) – The Lander School Board will hold a regular meeting at 6 p.m. Tuesday, June 16, in the Boardroom at the Administration Building at 863 Sweetwater St. in Lander.
The agenda includes personnel actions and a second-reading review of Policy JLG: Homeless Children and Regulation JICHA-R(1) – Drug Testing for Students Involved in Extracurricular Activities.
The school board will also consider approving the fiscal year 2027 Fremont County Board of Cooperative Higher Educational Services budget and consider charging usage fees for community group usage of school district facilities in accordance with changes made to state statute during this year’s legislative session.
Other action items on the agenda include:
- salary schedule placement – music paraprofessional position
- approve a $3,000 donation from Leadership Fremont County for the Angel Fund Lunch and a $3,900 donation from the LOR Foundation for high school photography equipment
During discussion, the board will consider the following policies on first reading:
- EGAC – Telephone Services (DELETE)
- GBL – Remote Work (minor revisions)
- JJI – Student Athleteics (new; based on WSBA model policy)
- JJIC – Participation in High School Activities (new; based on WSBA model policy)
The board will also discuss updates on funding for the Bruce Gresly Aquatics Center, including new rates effective July 1, and Student Services Director Mindy Clancy will review the district’s annual Special Education Determination, as issued by the Wyoming Department of Education.
An executive session will be held before adjournment.
