(Lander, WY) – The Lander School Board will hold a regular meeting at 6 p.m. Tuesday, March 17, in the Boardroom at the Administration Building at 863 Sweetwater St. in Lander.
The agenda includes the following recognitions:
- Wyoming State Science Fair
- Wyoming High School Activities Association Sportsmanship Awards for two students
- winter activities
- Josie Rounds, Wyoming Department of Education Educator Spotlight
The board will also hear an update from Lander Valley High School Teacher Morgan Hahn about her time as Wyoming’s 2025 Teacher of the Year.
After an executive session for matters related to employment of personnel and student discipline, the board will consider approving personnel actions, renewals, and winter coaching recommendations.
Other action items on the agenda include:
- consider approving one or more stipulated agreements
- consider approving six home games (three doubleheaders) for the JV girls softball team
- consider approving two donations from the LOR Foundation (portable nets at Bill Bush Stadium for $18,450 and scanners for Lander Middle School for $6,597) and one donation of a 2011 Subaru Outback for the district’s Auto Mechanic program ($3,800)
During discussion, the board will consider the following policies on first reading:
- DID – Inventories
- GCBA – Certified Staff Salary Schedule
- GCNC – Varsity Coach Conflicts of Interest
- IIC – Community Instructional Resources
- JHG/JHG-R(1) – Reporting Child Abuse
- JOB – School Contacts with Non-Custodial Parents
The board will also discuss appointing a board representative to replace Scott Jensen on the Fremont County Board of Cooperative Higher Eduaction Services board, and Student Services Director Mindy Clancy will outline a recent report from Pingora Consulting about possible ways to strengthen the district’s special education programs.
