(Lander, WY) – The Lander School Board will hold a regular meeting at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 16, in the Boardroom at the Administration Building at 863 Sweetwater St. in Lander.
The agenda features several recognitions, including a celebration of high school advanced placement results.
The board will also hear presentations about Lights On and Lander Girls Softball.
After considering personnel actions, the board will review two policies on second reading: GCQC – Resignation of Professional Staff and the CKA policy group (proposed for deletion due to amended CKA rules).
The CKA policy group includes:
- CKA – Firearms: Personnel Authorized to Carry
- CKA-E – Application to Carry Firearm on School Property
- CKA-R2 – Firearms, Holster, and Concealed Biometric Container or Lockbox Requirements
- CKA-R2-E – Firearm or Holster Change Order
- CKA-R3 – Firearms: Personnel Authorized to Carry – Ammunition Requirements
- CKA-R4 – Firearms: Personnel Authorized to Carry – Training Requirements
- CKA-R5 – Mandatory Drug and Alcohol Testing Regulation for Concealed Carry
The board will also consider an updated version of the district’s 2025-2026 climate survey and consider nominees for the Wyoming School Boards Association’s Annual Awards.
Discussion items on the agenda include:
- salary and compensation targets
- Lander Valley High School girls softball
- funding the Bruce Gresly Aquatics Center
The meeting is open to the public for in-person attendance and will be streamed live on Zoom.
