(Lander, WY) – The Lander School Board will hold a regular meeting at 6 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 21, in the Boardroom at the Administration Building at 863 Sweetwater St. in Lander.
The agenda includes two presentations – on Go Baby Go and Wind River Outdoor Education at Lander Middle School.
The Board will also consider personnel actions, early graduation requests, and monetary donations, including $5,000 from the Lander Kiwanis Club to support Wind River Outdoor Education at Lander Middle School and $8,683 from the LOR Foundation to purchase equipment for the new Lander Valley High School softball program.
Under discussion items, administrators from each school will share information related to state accountability, including Wyoming Accountability in Education Act results.
The Board will also discuss one new policy being proposed for first reading: IHBI – Time Distribution Records for Federal Programs.
In addition, the following policies are proposed for revision:
- DLC/DLC-R Expense Reimbursements
- GBM-R Staff Complaints and Grievances (Regulation)
- GCU Possession/Use of Weapons
- INJ-E Homeschooling (reporting form; proposed for deletion)
The Board will also discuss next steps in the creation of a district-wide human resources position.
An executive session will be held regarding litigation and student discipline, after which the Board will consider approving one or more stipulated agreements as presented by the administration.
