(Cody, WY) – Lander Valley High School softball played two, and won two against the Cody JV squad Tuesday in Park County.
Game one went 12-3 Tigers
Lander piled on the runs in the first meeting Tuesday. Kylie Gallinger hit two home runs, in the first and fifth innings. The slugger finished with 6 RBI. Alayah Charginghawk hit a solo inside-the-park home run in the fourth. Kate Gallinger earned the win on the mound for Lander.
ander Valley Junior Varsity Tigers tallied 12 hits in the game. Kylie Gallinger, Kate Gallinger, and Izzy Musalem each collected two hits for Lander Valley Junior Varsity Tigers. Lander Valley Junior Varsity Tigers had a strong eye at the plate, tallying five walks for the game.

Lander wins game two 9-8
The second part of the double-header was more competitive. It didn’t take the Tigers long to get on the board, thanks to a Kiki Chavez home run and a Kennedy Brown RBI single. The two teams traded leads in the third and forth innings. Temiah Kaulaity scored in the third, briefly putting Lander on top 3-2. That was quickly answered by a pair of Cody runs. Lander would plate four runs in the fourth however, thanks to RBI hits by Arya Ghormley, Tanaya Burnett and Kennedy Brown putting the team up for good. Dani Snetcher earned the win for Lander on the mound.
LVHS collected 14 hits in the game. Kennedy Brown drove the middle of the lineup, leading Lander Valley Junior Varsity Tigers with three runs batted in. The right-handed hitter went 2-for-2 on the day. Arya Ghormley and Kennedy Brown each collected two hits for Lander Valley Junior Varsity Tigers.
