Lander-area teenagers are being encouraged to show off their creative efforts for a new publication called The Batch.
Writers, artists, and photographers are all encouraged to show off their work.
Submissions are accepted for prose, poetry, photography and art of any medium from Lander-area residents age 13-19. The journal publishes annually in May with a submission deadline of April 1.
Submissions are sought in the following categories:
SHORT STORIES/FICTION — (up to 5,000 words)
NOVEL EXCERPTS — (up to 5,000 words)
POETRY — (up to 3 poems per writer)
PLAYS/SCREENPLAYS — (submitted in standard format/up to 5,000 words)
NONFICTION — (essay, personal narrative, memoir, creative nonfiction/up to 5,000 words)
PHOTOGRAPHY — (up to 3 images per photographer)
ART/ANY MEDIUM — (photographs of up to 3 pieces per artist)
All writing submissions will be returned to the author with feedback from the editorial team members.
Email submissions to batchwyoming@gmail.com with ATTN: SUBMISSION in the subject line. In the email, please include a name, age and phone number. Attach written submissions as either Word or Google Doc files. Images should be shared as JPEG files.
