(Lander, WY) – Lander Valley High School volleyball began the year by going 4-0 at a tournament that they hosted last weekend. Lander beat Shoshoni, Thermopolis, Big Piney and Farson-Eden for the perfect start.
Wyopreps.com Coaches & Media volleyball voters noticed, as the Lady Tigers slid into 3A’s #5 spot this week. Cody remains number one in class 3A, followed by Douglas, Lovell and Powell. Several different 3A teams received votes, perhaps showing how difficult play in the division will be all year.
Laramie and Kelly Walsh are tied atop the rankings in class 4A, Big Horn is a nearly unanimous number one in 2A and Little Snake River takes the #1 spot in 1A this week.
Lander varsity volleyball heads to the “Border Wars” event hosted by Evanston Friday and Saturday.
