Wednesday, the City of Lander announced that crews were working on a water main break near the Lander Post Office, behind the Wind River Outdoor Company.
Some area homes and businesses experienced a temporary water shut off. There were minor traffic closures in the area while crews worked.
As of Thursday morning, the water main has been fixed and Grandview Drive has been reopened to traffic.
The City of Lander also reports that the leak caused “a lot of ice buildup on sidewalks, parking lots, and streets.” They urge pedestrians and motorists to use caution in the area.
