All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
(Riverton, WY) – 41-year-old Christine Nardi was reportedly arrested for DWUI, leaving the scene of an accident, failure to yield to an emergency vehicle, resisting, and assault on a peace officer, for an incident occurring on July 3, according to the July 4 Riverton Police Department (RPD) call log.
RPD received a call at 5:52 PM reporting that a vehicle struck a power pole near the intersection of East Park and Stone Drive, and then left the scene.
Responding officers soon observed the vehicle with “obvious front end damage,” and attempted to stop it.
The vehicle initially failed to yield, the call log states, and continued on for several blocks before stopping.
The driver, soon identified as Nardi, reportedly displayed “obvious signs of intoxication,” and later failed field sobriety tests.
The log states that throughout the encounter, Nardi “screamed at, physically resisted, kicked and spit on the involved officers.”
