(Thermopolis, WY) – Thermopolis High School narrowly dodged an approaching spring storm Wednesday to conclude a one-day golf invitational at the Thermopolis Golf Course.
Seven teams participated in the event with hosts THS including; Lander, Arapahoe Charter, Cody, Lyman, Ten Sleep and Worland. The Lander boys won the overall team title with a combined 313, topping a distant-second Worland at 349.
Thermopolis took the girls team championship narrowly beating Cody 295-304. Lander’s girls did not register a team score at the event, however they did have the individual champion.
Tiger Keigann Watson shot a 90 overall to win the girls championship, one stroke better than her second-place challenger.
On the boy’s individual standings, Lander’s Hunter Kihn took the title, shooting a 70. Kihn was 5 strokes better than his second-place challenger.
