A big third inning that saw 14 Lockwood, Montana batters at home plate was the difference in a 13-5 loss by the Lander Legends in opening game action at the annual Roy Peck Wooden Bat Tournament at Roy Peck Field in Riverton.
Lander took an early 2-0 lead in the bottom of the first inning, but multiple errors combined with a dozen hits by the Razorbacks was the difference in the game.
The Legends were paced by Cash Chance with a pair of singles and a double by Jacob Bush.
William Oland took the loss with Grady Phillips coming on in the third inning in relief.
Lockwood’s Teig Egge went the distance allowing six hits, three walks and striking out a pair of Lander batters.
