Lander Legion C finished off the season with a sweep over the Cody Cubs on Saturday. 
Lander won game 1, 8-4 behind a strong 4 inning pitching performance by William Oland. Oland gave up no hits and no runs in 4 innings striking out four.
Gage Toups pitched two strong innings in relief and William Winn closed the game. William Winn led the way at the plate going two for three with key RBIs for Lander that broke the game open and Lander never looked back.
Lander showed their strong defense with no errors in the field.
Lander closed the season with a strong 13-2 win led by Dane Young with three hits at the plate and two strong shutout innings from starting pitcher Grady Phillips.
Lander continues to show their depth with RBI production from the bottom of their lineup with William Oland, William Winn, and Dane Young coming up with key hits.
Dane Kramer and Canyon Francis each collected multiple hits for Lander.
Coach Brian Oland is pleased with the season and is looking forward to state.
“This team has a lot of depth, we can hit all the way through the lineup and we have 10 pitchers I trust in any game situation. We spend our time on fundamentals, which means throwing strikes and making the routine plays and they are coming together as a team at the right time. Regardless of what happens at the state tournament I am very proud of this team and I’m looking forward to what they can accomplish in the coming years.”
