Legislative Tribal Relations Committee meeting Monday, Tuesday in Riverton

(Riverton, WY) – The Wyoming Legislature’s Select Committee on Tribal Relations will hold a two-day meeting June 15-16 in Room 125 of the Intertribal Community Center at Central Wyoming College in Riverton.

The agenda for the Monday meeting includes tribal introductions and updates on current issues, followed by a discussion of tribal youth issues.

After lunch, the committee will hear a report on state/tribal cooperation accords like the Washington State model and discuss the relationship between tribal governments and Wyoming state departments.

The agenda for Tuesday includes a health care update and a discussion of Wind River Reservation infrastructure issues (solid waste, electricity and gas).

A Missing and Murdered Persons update is scheduled to take place at 11 a.m. Tuesday before the meeting adjourns at noon.

The meeting is open to the public for in-person attendance and will be live-streamed on the legislature’s YouTube channel.
