(Riverton, WY) – The Wyoming Legislature’s Select Committee on Tribal Relations will hold a two-day meeting beginning at 8:30 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 27, in Room 125 of the Intertribal Community Center at Central Wyoming College, 2660 Peck Ave. in Riverton.
The Legislative Service Office says the committee will receive reports, updates, and have discussion on:
1) tribal and state development efforts
2) the Wind River Development Fund
3) health care services
4) law enforcement jurisdiction
5) missing and murdered persons
6) juvenile justice
7) buffalo program and wildlife classification
8) education
9) Wyoming Indian Child Welfare Act
The agenda indicates that the first six topics will be discussed on Tuesday, with the remaining topics on the schedule for Wednesday.
Both meeting days are open to the public for in-person attendance and will be streamed live on the Legislature’s YouTube channel, where past meeting recordings are stored.
“A limited number of participants can sign up to provide public comment virtually,” legislative staffers said in the meeting description. “Only those that fill out the form to provide public comments virtually and who are emailed the Zoom invite from the Legislative Service Office will be permitted into the Zoom meeting to testify.”
