The City of Lander reminds residents and visitors to use caution and follow all posted traffic controls in and around the Lincoln Street construction zone.
Construction work on Lincoln Street remains underway, and the intersections at 6th, 7th, and 8th Streets are closed to through traffic. As a result, the 600 and 700 blocks of Lincoln Street are closed to all vehicle traffic.
For the safety of the public and construction crews, all barricades, traffic control devices, and construction signage must remain in place at all times. These devices are positioned specifically to protect motorists, pedestrians, and workers. Work zones are strictly regulated. Touching or moving signs can confuse drivers, endanger workers, and expose the person who moved the sign to major civil liability if it causes an accident. Drivers are reminded not to enter closed intersections or drive around barricades.
Pedestrians are encouraged to remain alert and use designated safe areas when traveling near the construction zone.
Visitors and customers accessing businesses within the 600 and 700 blocks of Lincoln Street should not exit parking lots onto Lincoln Street, as those blocks and intersections remain closed.
