In November, preschoolers from Little Children Preschool visited the Lander Police Department for a hands-on learning experience about the roles and responsibilities of local law enforcement.
During the visit, students explored the police department building, learned about the tools officers use on the job, and got an up-close look at a police vehicle. The children were full of curiosity, asking thoughtful questions throughout the tour. Several preschoolers proudly shared that they want to be police officers when they grow up.
“It’s always rewarding to welcome young learners into the police department,” said Officer Ryan Pieracini. “Their excitement reminds us why community engagement matters and why we do what we do.”
