The Wyoming Breast Cancer Initiative (WBCI) has helped increase breast cancer awareness and prevention in Wyoming for the last three years. The group relies on various volunteer-led events through the state. So far they’ve helped conducted over 2,100 clinical exams, diagnosed 8 patients with breast cancer, and helped 70 women with prosthetic bras.
The money they raise stays with Wyoming breast cancer patients and statewide awareness.
On Saturday, April 13th WBCI will hold “Cups4Cups” across the state. Local coffee shops will donate a portion of their proceeds to the initiative. Funds will be granted into a breast cancer early detection screening voucher program, which is available in all 23 counties across Wyoming.
“There has been a high level of interest all across Wyoming to participate in this event. We encourage folks to grab a friend and support your local coffee shop and this great cause” said Cara Nett, President of the WBCI advisory team. “The WBCI is grateful for each coffee shop to help provide much needed funding for early detection screening.”
There are three Fremont County coffee shops participating, including:

- Back Country Mudd Espresso- Riverton
- The Perch Coffee House- Dubois
