Wyoming high school students interested in learning more about the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) can apply to attend a teen academy this summer.
Applications are now being accepted for FBI Denver’s 2019 Teen Academies which will take place on June 12 in Denver, July 13 in Laramie and Aug. 2 in Colorado Springs.
The academy is open to incoming high school sophomores, juniors, and seniors (2019 graduating seniors are also eligible) enrolled in a public, private, charter or home school program. The applicant must currently attend school within Colorado or Wyoming to be eligible to apply.
Students selected for the FBI Teen Academy will spend an interactive day with special agents and professional staff participating in both classroom and hands-on activities. Classes will offer an insider’s look into criminal and cyber investigations, hands-on experience involving evidence collection and tactical operations, all while learning about the FBI’s core values.
The application and release form (attached to this email) and a supporting essay must be received by the FBI Denver field office by 5 p.m. on April 15, 2019.
