All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
The Lander Police Department is investigating a stabbing that occurred during the early morning hours of July 14, 2026, in the area of the Blue Ridge Apartments in Lander.
At approximately 3:31 a.m., officers responded to a report of a stabbing involving multiple individuals. Upon arrival, officers located two injured adult males at separate locations. Emergency medical personnel responded and provided treatment before transporting the injured parties for further medical care.
Through the initial investigation, officers determined that an altercation had occurred involving several individuals, resulting in one person sustaining a stab wound. A suspect was identified and located shortly after the incident. Investigators also recovered evidence believed to be associated with the case. The suspect, Elijah Crazythunder, a 30-year-old male from Laramie, WY, was arrested for Aggravated Assault with a Knife, Public Intoxication, Possession of Marijuana, and Assault.
Detectives continue to actively investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident. At this time, there is no threat to the public, and all known parties involved have been identified and one male arrested. This was an isolated incident and there is no further danger to the community
