The Lander Valley High School Drama Club is presenting Roger’s and Hammerstein’s ‘Oklahoma!’ musical this weekend.
All performances will be held at the LVHS Theater and Auditorium. Showtimes are as follows…
- Thursday, November 29th at 7:00 p.m.
- Friday, November 30th at 7:00 p.m.
- Saturday, December 1st at 7:00 p.m.
Donations are accepted at the door. Recommended prices are $7 for an individual or $12 for 2. A family of four is encouraged to donate $20.
The Drama Club described the musical as, “based on Lynn Riggs’ 1931 play, Green Grow the Lilacs. Set in farm country outside the town of Claremore, Indian Territory, in 1906, it tells the story of farm girl Laurey Williams and her courtship by two rival suitors, cowboy Curly McLain and the sinister and frightening farmhand Jud Fry. A secondary romance concerns cowboy Will Parker and his flirtatious fiancée, Ado Annie.”
