Each week, staff at Lander Valley High School nominate a student who has shown outstanding behavior toward their peers and in their academics. At the end of the year, County 10 will award a $500 scholarship to one of the nominated students! Click here to view all nominated students.
Alandra French was nominated as the Lander Valley High School student of the week by Paul Primrose.
“Alandra’s a razor-sharp thinker in AP Literature and a tireless, fearless leader in Student Publications. As an English student, Alandra understands the subtleties of difficult, high-octane texts in AP Literature, spotting nuance and writing clearly. As an editor in Student Publications, she helps navigates the complexities of assembling the LVHS yearbook — a fun but monumental task. Alandra brings a certain focus, wit, and motivation to these classes, and she’s a pleasure to teach.”

Alandra plans to attend the University of Wyoming to study Environmental Science and Natural Resources. She then plans to get a job in Ecosystem Restoration.
Alandra’s academic awards include being awarded as a University of Wyoming Trustees Finalist and a National Youth Science Camp delegate. She has also lettered in Cross Country Running, Indoor and Outdoor Track. She is a part of the Valley Singers choir, Yearbook and runs Cross Country and Track.
In her free time, Alandra enjoys running, baking, cooking and tending to her garden in the summer.
Alandra is the daughter of Joe and Lynn French.
