The following are honorable mentions to be considered for the $500 Scholarship award for the 2025 County 10 Student of the Year Banquet!
Brayden Groenke
“I admire Mr. Groenke for his tenacious spirit in AP Spanish. Mr. Groenke is brilliant, studious and hard-working. Spanish does not come as easy for him as his other classes, but he persists and continually challenges himself – taking all 4 years of Spanish. His growth has been such a pleasure to witness. I know that he will continue to be a life-long Spanish learner because he enjoys the challenge.” –Jaime Basham
Brayden plans to attend the University of Chicago and earn his Bachelor of Science degree in Statistics. He is an AP Scholar with Honors, recipient of Odyssey Scholarship and Dean’s Scholar Award at the University of Chicago. He is on the Cross Country Running team. In his free time, Brayden enjoys playing and watching basketball, playing video games, watching movies with friends and listening to music.
Brayden is the son of Scott and Sheri Groenke.
Ameya Eddy
“Ameya has put in a ton of hard work and effort to get to where she is today. She is a dedicated student athlete who sets a great example for the peers around her. I am so proud of Ameya and what she has been able to accomplish during her high school career athletically and academically. I know she will do great things in the future!” -Heidi VanLishout
Ameya plans to attend Colgate University in New York and will study Neuroscience. She would like to research dementia and hopefully find a cure. She will also be running D1 Cross Country, Indoor and Outdoor Track. She is an AP Scholar with Honors, a 10-time All-State and 12-time Varsity athlete, Cross Country and Track State Champion and 5-time State Runner-up. Her current goal is to have her name placed on the Academic Hall of Fame in the LVHS Commons.
Along with her sports career, Ameya is also the NHS Vice President and Student Council Class Representative. She is also the Cross Country and Nordic team Captain.
In her free time, Ameya loves to cook, paint, listen to music and be outside. She also loves working as a Certified Nurse’s Assistant at Westward Heights and spending time with the residents.
Ameya is the daughter of Travis Eddy and Jules Feck.
Lily Pugrad
“Lily has been an excellent student all semester. She has put her best foot forward and always worked to maximize her learning in class. She is inquisitive and a hard worker. I appreciated her attention to detail and her willingness to prepare for class every day. She has many excellent traits that will benefit her in the future.” -John Rounds
Lily plans to attend the University of Wyoming and major in Early Education. She has received 3 Academic Letters. In her free time, Lily enjoys hanging out with her family.
Lily is the daughter of Hanna Kuchel.
Addi Weston
“Addi has a positive attitude in class, outside of the classroom, and in sports that she is involved in. Her interaction with staff and fellow students is positive and respectful.” -Trenton St. Clair
Addi is planning to attend the University of Wyoming to study Nursing or pursue a pre-med degree to become an Anesthesiologist or Orthopedic Surgeon. She has received 4 Academic Letters. She has also lettered 4 times in Girls Soccer and 1 time in Wrestling. She is also the Captain of the Girls’ Soccer team and a member of NHS.
In her free time, Addi enjoys spending time with her family and friends, camping, hunting and fishing.
Addi is the daughter of Terrill and Breanne Weston.
