Danika Anesi
“Danika’s work ethic shines not only in the classroom, but also in her multiple jobs. She has demonstrated what hard work and determination can accomplish. For the majority of her high school career, she has held at least one to three jobs outside of school. This has not affected her school work which makes her a great example for her peers, making the balance look easy! After high school she plans to attend the University of Utah to become an Oncologist. Great work, Danika!” 
Paxon Hollingshead
“Paxon is a silent leader. He leads by example and has a positive attitude in our Spanish AP class. He always tries his best and does every hard task with a smile. It has been a pleasure to see him grow linguistically and academically in our Spanish classes.”
Katy Anderson
“Katy works so hard in our AP Spanish class, as she has in all levels of Spanish. It is truly an honor to watch her grow linguistically and academically. She is always courageous to try to do things and to speak in Spanish. She has a great attitude and encourages her classmates to try their best in Spanish. She is an inspiration to all.”

Cordé Calloway“
I jokingly refer to Cordé as “Profesor Lingüístico” in Spanish (“Professor Linguistics” in English) because he always is learning about words; how words relate to other words, how they explain history, the nuances of languages, and the general curiosity that he has for linguistics. This applies to not just Spanish, he looks for commonalities in Ute-Aztec languages and Shoshone, and he comes and shares with me what he has discovered during class or during lunch. I hope that he has learned from me about languages as much as I have learned from him. As a fellow linguaphile, it is truly a pleasure to teach and interact with Cordé everyday.” 
Olivia Gist
“I nominated Olivia because of her positive attitude, strong work ethic, and respectful behavior both inside and outside the classroom. She comes to class prepared each day, actively participates, and puts genuine effort into every assignment, always striving to do her best. She is kind and supportive toward her classmates and treats teachers and staff with courtesy and respect. Olivia is very responsible and a joy to have in class.”
Ava Gerlach
“Ava has a positive attitude in the classroom and outside of the classroom. She always has a smile on her face while interacting with students and staff. Whether she is competing on the court or the track, Ava has the same positive attitude that resonates with her teammates. Ava will be very successful in life due to positive attitude and strong work ethic.”
Sydney Ayers
“Sydney is one of the best students I’ve had the pleasure of teaching. She works hard and cares about her learning. Sydney is quick to help her classmates in math class when they need help and is an all around amazing person. She is super sweet and has a great sense of humor! Sydney would be an awesome math teacher someday, but I know she will be brilliant at whatever profession she decides to pursue!”
Erica Lane
“Erica has risen to the challenge this year in AP Calculus and her positive attitude makes her a delight to have in class. She is hardworking and always kind to everyone around her. Our classroom is a better place because she is there.”

Noah St. Clair
“Noah’s a thoughtful, motivated student who never fails to brighten the classroom; Room 211 is just automatically a livelier place when he’s in it. He’s also remarkably sharp. His thinking and writing from our ongoing Rhetoric unit in Language Arts 12 demonstrates a keen intellect and curiosity. He’s a pleasure to have in class, and I can’t wait to see what he does next.”
Paulina Harris
“Paulina works so hard in our AP Spanish class. She is tenacious and methodical in every assignment that she does. Her level of pensiveness allows for mature and articulate responses. I appreciate her attitude and positivity as she takes on linguistically challenging assignments throughout her Spanish career here at LVHS.”
Addison Rounds
“Addi has been in my classes several semesters and I’ve been around her throughout her athletic career as well. She has a great work ethic and good leadership skills that will take her far in life. She has volunteered several hours of her time at sporting events, helping me out with the healthcare of visiting and home athletes. She has a good idea of what she wants to do in the future and is well on her way to making those things happen! She also has no issue advocating for herself which is a great skill to have!”
Parker Burton
“Parker’s fun and positive personality shines in the classroom as well as in sports. He is a great leader and I have enjoyed having him as a student. He has taken several college level courses and AP classes and is part of the National Honor Society. Along with his academic studies, Parker also excels on the football and soccer fields and earned All-Conference in Football. Parker plans to study Psychology after high school. Awesome job, Parker!
