Each week, staff at Lander Valley High School nominate a student who has shown outstanding behavior toward their peers and in their academics. At the end of the year, County 10 will award a $500 scholarship to one of the nominated students! Click here to view all nominated students.
Lucie Stamps was nominated as the Lander Valley High School student of the week by Jaime Basham.
“The energy and positivity that Lucie radiates is palpable. She is such an intelligent, mature and wise young lady. I have enjoyed watching her grow into the genuine person that she is. Not only does she always try to put her best work forward in our AP Spanish class (as she did for all levels of Spanish throughout the years), but she also is a total rock star in our new program “Los Tigritos”. Without even missing a beat, she signed up with gusto to teach Gannett Peak 1st and 2nd graders Spanish during a mentor class. Lucie is an authentic class act and is a leader in all facets of her life.”

Lucie plans to move out of state, either to the East or West Coast. She plans to continue acting and become a professional actress. “I’ll be at the Oscars on day!”
Along with receiving an Academic Letter all years of high school, Lucie also participates in Theatre, musicals and plays. She is also part of the LVHS DJ Club and enjoys playing music for every school dance her Junior and Senior years. Lucie also mentors with the Los Tigritos, a mentoring group that helps teach Spanish to the students at Gannett Peak Elementary. She is a member of the National Honor Society.
In her free time, Lucie enjoys DJing with her little set-up at home with a laptop and ancient board. She has been working at Gannett Grill for 3 years. She enjoys watching movies and also watches a lot of YouTube videos about how to be in movies and acting. She also likes to read.
Lucie is the daughter of Celeste LeBlanc.
