Each week, staff at Lander Valley High School nominate a student who has shown outstanding behavior toward their peers and in their academics. At the end of the year, County 10 will award a $500 scholarship to one of the nominated students! Click here to view all nominated students.
Sawyer Nachazel was nominated as the Lander Valley High School student of the week by Eric Watson.
“Sawyer is always pleasant and has a great attitude in class. He has jumped on several outside projects and finished them in a timely manner exceeding expectations by the consumer. Sawyer is always willing to help others and does so without hesitation. Great job Sawyer and thanks for being a bright light for others to follow!” -Eric Watson
After high school, Sawyer plans to attend college and play a sport, most likely Soccer. He would like to study real estate, then get a lot of money and have 3 homes.
Sawyer has lettered in sports every season of every year of high school. He has also earned Academic Letters and has his Green Hand degree for FFA. He is active in Football, Wrestling and Boys Soccer. He also enjoys fly fishing and FFA. In his free time he likes to be outside and in the summer he fights wildfires. He also enjoys hunting, riding his dirt bike, fishing and being in the mountains whenever he can.
