Each week, staff at Lander Valley High School nominate a student who has shown outstanding behavior toward their peers and in their academics. At the end of the year, County 10 will award a $500 scholarship to one of the nominated students! Click here to view all nominated students.
Violet Tuohy was nominated as the Lander Valley High School student of the week by Heidi VanLishout.
“Violet is awesome! She is such a hard worker and always puts her best foot forward no matter what task she is handed. Whether it is working at her job after school or working on a capstone project for an AP class, Violet is dedicated. It has been a pleasure to get to know her the last couple years. I will miss her smiley hellos in the hallway next year! I know Violet will do great things, especially in the world of conservation.”

Violet is planning to go to college somewhere on the East Coast and will study Environmental Science. She is an AP Scholar with Honors and has received Academic Letters
Violet is involved in Jazz and Concert Band, the DJ Club, NHS and runs tech for the plays and musicals.
In her free time, Violet enjoys listening to and playing music, reading and working at Gannett Grill.
