All suspects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
(Lander, WY) – Nicholas Blackburn pled “not guilty” to the two felony charges filed against him at his arraignment hearing held today, October 17, before the Honorable Judge Jason Conder in Lander.
Blackburn was represented by Valerie Schoneberger, with Patrick LeBrun representing the State.
Blackburn was charged with one Count of voluntary manslaughter and one Count of involuntary manslaughter, in relation to the death of Pete Ouray, who was found deceased in his home on March 17.
Following Blackburn’s “not guilty” plea today, a jury trial was set for March 17, 2025, with a pretrial conference scheduled to take place on January 30, 2025.
