28-year-old Kellen M. Sorber of Laramie has pleaded guilty in federal court after breaking into and burning the Wyoming Republican Party office in Laramie in September 2018.
Sorber, who was 27 at the time of the incident, entered the plea before Chief U.S. District Judge Scott Skavdahl in Casper.
In exchange for his plea, K2 Radio reports that the prosecution and defense agreed to recommend Sorber to prison for 3 years and 8 months.
He faces up to 20 years of imprisonment for his crimes. Skavdahl set sentencing for March 15th. Sorber was accused of vandalizing and setting fire to the Albany County GOP headquarters. No one was hurt in the fire.
Both Democratic and Republican leaders in Laramie denied any association with Sorber.
