The Riverton Police Department is investigating several broken windows across town that occurred late Monday or early Tuesday.
Several residents reported having their vehicle windows broken on S. 4th West, 12th Street, and 16th Street in Riverton. RPD’s first report of broken vehicle windows came in just after 5:00 p.m. Monday night, and they received several calls Tuesday morning of the same thing beginning around 6:20 a.m.
In what may be unrelated window-breaking news, 32-year-old Lander man Charles Haukass was arrested at 5:34 a.m. Tuesday morning after he was allegedly seen breaking windows in downtown Riverton businesses.
Reports of window damage to Bank of the West and Hoffman Electric were logged by RPD. Haukass was arrested and charged with Felony Property Damage.
RPD is yet to comment on the issue as they were still investigating and taking calls about window-breaks when we reached out Tuesday morning. We’ll update when we hear more information.
