(Lander, WY) – The Fremont County Commissioners convened for a regular meeting on Tuesday, March 24, and have provided the following recap of the meeting.
- It was approved to ratify the current members of the Local Emergency Planning Committee in accordance with the Local Emergency Planning committee by-laws.
- A Right-of-Way bore cut was approved for High Plains Power, Inc. for Horse Creek Rd.
- A Right-of-Way bore cut was approved for Visionary Broadband for Red Butte Rd, Western Ave, Tweed Ln, Dillon Dr., Hillcrest Dr., V-1 Rd., Snyder Rd., Mortimore Ln., and Circle S St.
- The Fremont County Government Sandbag Policy for 2026 was approved.
- It was approved to request funding in the amount of $24,707.41 from the Wyoming Department of Health, Public Health Division, for the prevention and treatment of problematic gambling behavior.
- An interagency agreement between the State of Wyoming, Office of the Secretary of State and the Fremont County Clerk was approved to set the responsibilities of the County regarding the acceptable use of the State’s Electronic Pollbook (EPB).
- Resolution 2026-10 FY 2025-2026 Budget Amendment No. 4 was approved for the following unanticipated revenue and transfers.

FOR: Depreciation budget line was incorrect - A budget hearing request for the Museum was approved to transfer $9,775.00 from LOR Grant funds to the Pioneer Museum Contractual services for the Livery Stable lighting project.
- The County Attorney’s office was approved to rehire a Felony Legal Secretary for the Riverton Office with a salary not to exceed $53,000.00.
