March 3 Fremont County Commission meeting recap

(Lander, WY) – The Fremont County Commissioners convened for a regular meeting on Tuesday, March 3, and have provided the following recap of the meeting.

• Right-of-Way Easement 2025-157U was approved for Lyons Valley Rd. 
• A Memorandum of Agreement with Volunteers of America Northern Rockies was approved for Opioid Settlement Funds for the VOA Center of Hope in Riverton. 
• A Final Acceptance Certificate for the FY22 Dust Suppression Project was approved. 
• It was approved to allow BMO to present a Bank-At-Work program for the County Employees, at no cost. 
• A resignation from Historic Preservation Commission member Barbara Townsend was accepted.
• It was approved to sell a County surplus vehicle to the Dubois Rural Fire District for the amount of $1,000.00.
• It was approved to create a third position in the Victim Witness Department within the Riverton Attorney’s office for Fiscal Year 2026-2027.
• Resolution 2026-09 The placement of a three-quarter (3/4%) Sales and Use tax for Economic Development on the 2026 Primary Election ballot to exclusively support ground ambulance, commercial air service, and public ground transportation, was approved. 
• Vehicle maintenance was approved to fix a 2019 Chevrolet 2500 pickup, in-house for the amount of $1,000.00 to come out of the Transportation budget. 
• A bid from Fender Mender Body Shop in the amount of $4,126.56 was approved to fix a 2023 Chevrolet 2500 pickup to come out of the Building Maintenance budget. 
• A bid from Fender Mender Body Shop in the amount of $1,405.00 was approved to fix a 2023 Chevrolet Traverse to come out of the Vehicle Maintenance budget.
