(Lander, WY) – The Fremont County Commissioners convened for a regular meeting on Tuesday, May 13, and have provided the following recap of the proceedings.
- A release and settlement agreement was approved between Riverton Memorial Hospital LLC, Medical Properties Trust, Inc., and Fremont County. The agreement provides that the county will make certain payments for the hospital’s provision of indigent care. The agreement also terminates all obligations between the parties that arose from the sale of the Bishop Randall Hospital in December of 1981.
- A notice to proceed and agreement between Bituminous Paving, Inc. was approved for chip sealing and paving of Lyons Valley Road, Country Acres Road, Riverview Cutoff, and Paradise Valley Road.
- The board approved several changes to the general understandings and expectations for both the Forest Service and Fremont County as a cooperating agency during the forest plan revision for the Bridger Teton National Forest.
- Logan Subdivision was approved, which will divide the existing 7.21-acre parcel near the intersection of Burma and Paradise Valley Roads into two lots.
- The board accepted the petition to vacate a publicly dedicated road for a 0.05-acre parcel of land on the old Lander to Hudson Highway where the old Holiday Motel property is located, currently owned by the Wyoming Catholic College. The 45-day comment period will commence and Steve Baumann was appointed as viewer.
