(Lander, WY) – The Fremont County Coroner’s Office has released the public docket, today, May 29, for the deceased individual found near Lander’s North Park on May 14.
The death was ruled as a suicide via self-inflicted gunshot wound, the docket states, and the deceased has been identified as 53-year-old Douglas Schweda.
The Coroner’s Office clarified that “the decedent was wearing gloves and a face mask due to the cold, wet weather,” and was not “wearing a sock over his head,” as was originally stated by the reporting party in the initial LPD call log.
No relevant toxicology was shared in the docket.
