(Lander, WY) – The Fremont County Commissioners convened for a regular meeting on Tuesday, May 5, and have provided the following recap of the meeting.
- Approach/Access Application 2025-022A from Mark Cox for 20 Pheasant Run Dr. was approved.
- Approach/Access Application 2025-023A from Brolin Excavation LLC for Lewiston Cut-off was approved.
- Right-of-way Easement Application 2025-164U from High Plains Power for a cut near Paradise Valley Rd. was approved.
- A 24-hour Malt Beverage Permit for the 1838 Rendezvous Association for the 1838 Mountain Man Rendezvous on June 23 – June 28, 2026 was approved.
- A request to rehire a full-time clerk position in the Clerk of District Courts office with a salary range of $40,000 to $51,050 was approved.
- An FDP Sub-Award Amendment with the Department of Justice/Office of Juvenile Justice Delinquency Prevention to extend the end date through 9/30/2026 was approved.
- The Election Judges Wages were approved as follows: $250.00 per Election for Main Manager Judges, $225.00 per Election for Manager Judges at Stations, $200.00 per Election for other Judges, $14.00 per hour for Early Voting/Absentee Judges/Canvass Board/Ballot Audit Board, $0.72 per mile, one-way, after five (5) miles, $25.00 for attendance ton one (1) Judges’ School, and $50.00 for meal stipend.
- Resolution 2026-12 setting the Election Districts and Precincts for the next two (2) years in Fremont County, was approved.
- Resolution 2026-14 an Amendment to Resolution 2026-09 Placing the three-quarter percent (3/4%) sales and use tax on the ballot was approved to amend and clarify that if passed the tax will be in effect for a period of four (4) years as provided by W.S. 39-15-203(a)(v)(C).
- Resolution 2026-15 Setting the Elected Official Wages for 2027-2030 was approved as follows: County Clerk, Treasurer, Assessor, Clerk of District Court, and Coroner at $105,600, County Attorney and Sheriff at $117,600 and County Commissioners at $41,500.
- It was approved to re-advertise for a Board of Equalization Hearing Examiner.
