(Lander, WY) – It was tough going for Fremont County wrestlers at the annual Lander Invitational last Friday and Saturday. Only six boys from the county placed in an event that saw 26 Wyoming teams and Thunder Ridge High School from Highland Ranch, Colorado in competition. Powell won the team title with 80 points. Green River, Evanston and Cody were close behind.
Riverton’s Jordan May and Lander’s Henry Quiver had the highest finish for Fremont County wrestlers, with May taking second at 190 pounds and Quiver the same at 120.

Lander had two other wrestlers reach the award, stand-in Ty McWilliams, fourth at 106, and Landon Jones, fifth at 144.
Wind River’s Landon Rhyne was fifth at 126, and teammate Anthony Musalem was sixth at 285.
Fremont County wrestlers along with most of the other wrestlers in Wyoming converge on Riverton next weekend for the annual Ron Thon.
