Natrona County held off strong challenges by Green River, Kelly Walsh, and Star Valley to win the Class 4-A West Regional wrestling tournament at Riverton last Friday. The Mustangs tallied 225 team points, with Star Valley fourth, just 30 points behind.
Riverton placed four wrestlers in the top four, led by a runner-up finish by Weston McLaughlin at 175 pounds.
Daniel Clawson finished third at 285 pounds with a 6-2 decision over Kolter Osborne of Natrona County.
Pryce Wiginton lost a close 4-0 decision to Sloan Hart of Natrona for fourth at 126 pounds.
The Class 4-A state championships begin on Thursday at the Ford Wyoming Center in Casper.
