Rachel Goff, PT, DPT, is making a meaningful impact on the lives of individuals in Fremont County who have been affected by stroke. Her passion for neurorehabilitation has been evident throughout her career. She completed two clinical rotations in neurological settings: one at Intermountain Neuro Rehab in Murray, UT, and the other at the University of Utah Neuro Acute Care Unit. These experiences sparked a deep interest in neurorehabilitation and provided her with a strong foundation in post-stroke patient care.
Recently, Rachel earned her certification in Stroke Rehabilitation. The program highlighted that patients can make functional gains regardless of age or how much time has passed since their stroke. It focused on diverse intervention strategies aimed at helping individuals regain the ability to perform meaningful tasks and hobbies they enjoyed prior to their stroke.
While some deficits may persist, Rachel believes there is always potential to enhance functional mobility, strength, endurance, and balance. These improvements not only elevate a patient’s quality of life but also help reduce the risk of future falls.
