According to the National Weather Service office in Riverton, western Wyoming is seeing a significant amount of rainfall after a long pattern of dry weather.
While firefighters did the majority of the “heavy lifting” with the Roosevelt and Marten wildfires, recent rainfall helped efforts exponentially. Areas near the fires received around 0.35 inches of rainfall in the last day.
Dubois received about 0.24 inches of moisture over the last 24 hours according to the National Weather Service graphic below.
Green River reported the most moisture in the state this week, getting one inch of water.
