(Lander, WY) – Local restaurant Mulino Italian Bistro will be hosting a visit from America’s Best Restaurants (ABR) in early August 2024.
America’s Best Restaurants, a national media and marketing company focusing on bringing attention to local, independently-owned restaurants, will bring its ABR Roadshow to the restaurant on August 9th. Popular dishes will be highlighted, along with an extensive on-camera interview with owners Joe and Angie Hammer about the restaurant’s special place in the community. The episode will be aired extensively on social media channels at a later date.
Originally from Philadelphia, the Hammers rediscovered Lander on a road trip out West – Angie had actually lived in the small town about a decade earlier – and made the move to become residents in 2019. They had always wanted to own their own restaurant, and opened Mulino Italian Bistro the same year in the former spot of The Mill.
Joe is a graduate of Le Cordon Bleu in Philadelphia, and worked in the region as an intern, sous chef, and chef for restaurants such as Mica, Blackfish, and Green Valley Inn.
Angie’s background is in restaurant management and wine, and she is a level II Certified Sommelier with the Court of Master Sommeliers.
Mulino Italian Bistro has a modern, industrial-farmhouse ambience with an open kitchen and a simple, upscale menu of New American cuisine. Shareable appetizers, salads, homemade pasta and entrees change seasonally, along with drink specials, an extensive wine list, cocktails, and local beers.
Unique menu items that may be featured on the episode include lobster bucatini, with asparagus, peas, saffron cream and lemon zest; a crab and corn toast appetizer; and Frank’s Braised Beef Short Rib entree, served with creamy basil pesto and pearled barley.
America’s Best Restaurants will be filming on location on Friday August 9th from 2 pm to 5 pm MST. The press is invited to attend. The restaurant’s finished episode premiere date will be announced on their Facebook page and will be featured on America’s Best Restaurants’ website.
