(Riverton, WY) – The Riverton City Council will hold a regular meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 7, in the Council Chambers at Riverton City Hall, 816 N. Federal Blvd.
The agenda for the meeting includes the oath of office for newly elected council members.
There will also be an introduction and the oath of office for a new Riverton Police Department patrol officer.
Later, the council will cast ballots for council president and vice president; approve the council meeting calendar for 2025; and approve city council committee appointments, community committee and board appointments, and municipal court judge, alternate judge, and city attorney appointments.
There are two resolutions on the agenda designating official depositories and the legal newspaper.
A public hearing will be held before the council considers a retail liquor license transfer of location for Brigett and James Bunker doing business as Bunks BBQ.
A memo from staff said the license would be transferred from operational status at 201 E. Washington to non-operational/parked at 514 W. Main St.
The council will hear a service update from the Wind River Transportation Authority before convening for an executive session if needed.
Tuesday’s meeting will be preceded by a 6:45 p.m. Finance Committee meeting in the same location.
Both meetings are open to the public for in-person attendance and will be streamed live on the city’s YouTube channel, where past meeting recordings are stored.
