(Riverton, WY) – The Riverton City Council will hold a regular meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 2, in the Council Chambers at Riverton City Hall, 816 N. Federal Blvd.
The agenda for the meeting includes introductions and oaths of office for a Riverton Police Department Dispatcher and the Riverton Youth Council.
Mayor Tim Hancock will also issue a proclamation recognizing September 2025 as Hunger Action Month.
A public hearing will be held before the council considers a fireworks permit application for Fremont County School District 25 for Sept. 5, Oct. 3, Oct. 17, Oct. 24, Oct. 31, and Nov. 7.
The council will also consider two ordinances on third reading, regarding the Stover Addition Alley Vacation and the Nevin Circle Vacation.
Other agenda items include:
- a gasoline and diesel fuel service contract
- an Authority to Render Services Agreement for the West Main Water Replacement Project
- an airport lease agreement
- National Opioid Settlement agreements
An executive session will be held if needed before adjournment.
Tuesday’s meeting will be preceded by a 6:45 p.m. Finance Committee meeting in the same location.
Both meetings are open to the public for in-person attendance and will be streamed live on the city’s YouTube channel, where past meeting recordings are stored.
