New dispatcher to be sworn in during Riverton City Council meeting Tuesday

(Riverton, WY) – The Riverton City Council will hold a regular meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday, April 7, in the Council Chambers at Riverton City Hall, 816 N. Federal Blvd.

The agenda for the meeting includes an introduction and oath of office for a new Riverton Police Department dispatcher and a National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week proclamation.

The council will also consider approving an appointment to the Riverton Rendezvous Balloon Committee and an airport ground lease agreement for the Fix Based Operator terminal and fuel tank.

There are three resolutions on the agenda, including:

• Resolution No. 1546, supporting an application for federal and state grant funding for the installation of a self-serve field station at Central Wyoming Regional Airport
• Resolution No. 1547, for the submission of an Edward Bryne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant application for equipment and to fully outfit a third call-taking station in the dispatch center
• Resolution No. 1548, dissolving the Rendezvous Activity Center Committee 

Other items on the agenda include:

• procurement of a truck-mounted crane
• consideration of bid: wastewater treatment plant tank rehabilitation
• police department vehicle replacement
• additional services addendum – self-serve fuel station project

An executive session will be held if needed before adjournment. 

Tuesday’s meeting will be preceded by a 6:45 p.m. Finance Committee meeting in the same location.
