A special meeting will be held Thursday, January 3rd to introduce Lander’s newest mayor and city council members, as well as have the council vote for the Lander Police Chief recommendation.
Monte Richardson will take over the mayoral helm after Del McOmie stepped down. Richardson won election after running against Andy Gramlich in the General Election.
Newly elected city council members include Missy White, who has already assumed her post because of a vacant spot, John Larsen, and Chris Hulme.
Mayor Richardson has recommended that Lander’s new Chief of Police should be LPD veteran Thomas Shroyer. If the council votes to appoint Shroyer, he will also take his oath of office.
The meeting is at Lander City Hall Thursday at 6:00 p.m. and open to the public, however, seating is limited.
