The New Lander Volunteer Fire Department Chief Bobby Johnston was sworn into office at the Tuesday night Lander City Council meeting by City Attorney Adams Phillips.
Retired firefighter and City Councilman Dick Hudson presented Johnston with his Fire Chief badge.
Bobby received a loud round of applause from those in attendance and the Lander City Council members. New Police Chief Thomas Shroyer and several city officials proceeded with a standing ovation.
