New police lieutenant, dispatcher to be sworn in during Riverton City Council meeting Tuesday

(Riverton, WY) – The Riverton City Council will hold a regular meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 5, in the Council Chambers at Riverton City Hall, 816 N. Federal Blvd.

The agenda for the meeting includes a retirement recognition for Justin Hays.

The council will also hear a presentation from half percent sales tax funding recipient Epic Salon Spa. 

Public hearings will be held before the council considers two ordinances on first reading: one vacating an alley in the Stover Addition, and another vacating Nevin Circle.

There are also five bids on the agenda – for a street sweeper, the Willow Creek improvement project, digital message boards, and the wastewater treatment plant clarifier project.

The council will consider approving a fiscal year 2025 audit non-attest services engagement agreement with Wade Hirschi, and an introduction and oath of office will be held for a police lieutenant and dispatcher before the council convenes into an executive session, if needed.

Tuesday’s meeting will be preceded by a 6:45 p.m. Finance Committee meeting in the same location.

Both meetings are open to the public for in-person attendance and will be streamed live on the city’s YouTube channel, where past meeting recordings are stored.
