(Riverton, WY) – Patrol Officer Ambree McGuire was sworn in to the Riverton Police Department during a Riverton City Council meeting this week.
RPD Chief Eric Hurtado said McGuire started her career in law enforcement four years ago, “bringing dedication and integrity into every role she served.”
“She’s known for her professionalism, compassion and strong work ethic,” Hurtado said. “She’s thrilled to join the Riverton Police Department and looks forward to making a positive impact in our community. … Balancing family life and public service, she is committed to serving with heart and purpose.”
Outside of work, Hurtado said McGuire is a “proud mother” to her 2-year-old daughter.
“It’s good to have you on board,” Mayor Tim Hancock said. “We’re very glad to have you serving in our community. So thank you for being willing to step up.”
In a Facebook post, the RPD said McGuire has “extensive experience in law enforcement and a strong commitment to community service.”
“Officer McGuire will play a vital role in enhancing public safety and building positive relationships within our community,” the post states. “We look forward to the contributions she will make in fostering a secure and welcoming environment for all Riverton residents.”
