The Batch is a teen literary/arts journal that will feature the creative efforts of fresh, talented teenage writers, artists and photographers. Submissions are accepted for prose, poetry, photography and art of any medium from Lander-area residents age 13-19. The journal will publish annually in the spring with a submission deadline of April 1.
Submissions for The Batch are sought in the following categories:
SHORT STORIES/FICTION — (up to 5,000 words)
NOVEL EXCERPTS — (up to 5,000 words)
POETRY — (up to 3 poems per writer)
PLAYS/SCREENPLAYS — (submitted in standard format/up to 5,000 words)
NONFICTION — (essay, personal narrative, memoir, creative nonfiction/up to 5,000 words)
PHOTOGRAPHY — (up to 3 images per photographer)
ART/ANY MEDIUM — (photographs of up to 3 pieces per artist)
All writing submissions will be returned to the author with feedback from the editorial team members.
